Bitcoin’s Potential Cycle Peak Predicted by Crypto Analyst if History Repeats

A crypto analyst predicts the potential timing of Bitcoin’s peak based on historical patterns. Rekt Capital, a prominent figure in the crypto trading community, shared insights with followers on X, suggesting that Bitcoin typically reaches its highest point 518-546 days following its halving event, which occurs every four years in April.

Reflecting on past cycles, Rekt Capital highlighted that during the 2015-2017 cycle, Bitcoin hit its peak 518 days after the halving, and in the 2019-2021 cycle, it peaked 546 days post-halving. Extrapolating from these trends, if history repeats itself, Bitcoin may reach its zenith in the current cycle around mid-September to mid-October 2025.

Acknowledging the recent downturn in the crypto market, Rekt Capital pointed out a significant deceleration in Bitcoin’s momentum. Earlier this year, Bitcoin’s acceleration in this cycle was at 260 days, but due to a prolonged consolidation period, this rate has dropped to approximately 150 days. The trader emphasized that a lengthened consolidation phase post-halving could help align the current cycle more closely with the traditional halving cycle.

Furthermore, Rekt Capital suggested that Bitcoin may have hit its lowest point by analyzing pullbacks since February 2023. Listing the pullbacks, including -23% in February 2023, -21% in April/May 2023, -22% in July/September 2023, -21% in January 2024, -23.6% in April/May 2024, and the ongoing -21% correction in June 2024, the average retracement in this cycle stands at -22%. This indicates that the current pullback is nearly in line with the average correction observed during the cycle.

As of the latest update, Bitcoin is trading at $56,521, reflecting a 2.6% decrease over the past 24 hours.
