Bitcoin Millionaire Hides $2 Million Treasure Across US in Five Chests Full of Gold, Gems, and Rare Cards
A Bitcoin investor, Jon Collins-Black, has hidden five treasure chests worth over $2 million across the US. In his book, “There’s Treasure Inside,” he offers clues to their locations. These chests are filled with everything from ancient coins to a Bitcoin and are tucked away in safe, accessible public spots. Collins-Black’s goal is to ignite a spirit of adventure and curiosity with this real-life treasure hunt.
Collins-Black, who made his fortune through Bitcoin investments, has carefully curated these chests over the years. From ancient gold doubloons to rare Pokémon cards, each chest holds a variety of valuable items waiting to be discovered.
To help eager treasure hunters, Collins-Black has published a book that includes puzzles, maps, and essential information to aid in locating the hidden chests. He emphasizes that solving the clues does not require genius-level intellect but rather curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to try something new.
Inside the chests, you’ll find a mix of items to pique various interests, such as sports memorabilia like Michael Jordan’s rookie card from 1986, along with precious metals and historical artifacts. Notable treasures include Jacqueline Onassis’s diamond and sapphire brooch, a fourth-century BCE Greek laurel made of gold, a coin designed by Picasso, and even a rare lunar rock specimen.
One of the chests holds a single Bitcoin, currently valued at around $100,000, with the potential for increased value by the time it’s discovered.
Rest assured, all the chests are located in safe, easily accessible places above ground, within three miles of public roads, and not on private property. Collins-Black crafted this treasure hunt out of his love for adventure, developing the concept during the pandemic lockdown in 2020. His hope is to spark that same sense of wonder and curiosity in everyone who joins the journey.
This initiative follows in the footsteps of Forrest Fenn, an art dealer from New Mexico, who hid a $2 million chest of treasures in the Rocky Mountains around 2010, leaving behind cryptic poetic clues. Although the search for Fenn’s treasure claimed at least five lives, it was finally discovered in June 2020. However, the finder’s identity remained a mystery, and Fenn’s passing left lingering questions about the discovery.
So, if you’re up for an exciting adventure filled with treasure and intrigue, Jon Collins-Black’s hidden chests might just be waiting for you to uncover them!
