Bitcoin Treasure Hunt Book Returns with Bigger Excitement
Jon Collins-Black’s mother always wanted to live in a log cabin, so when his father received 20 acres of land in North Carolina, he built her one with his bare hands. As a child, Collins-Black spent his days exploring the wilderness and searching for treasure, with his favorite spot being the Emerald Hollow Mine nearby.
Now, decades later, Collins-Black has launched what he believes is the largest treasure hunt in US history. He has hidden five boxes, each containing valuable items across five states. His new book, “There’s Treasure Inside,” serves as a treasure map with clues on how to find these hidden gems.
The treasure trove includes a variety of items, from traditional treasures like ruby earrings and a golden chalice to historically significant pieces such as Picasso’s gold pendant, Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s sapphire brooch, and rare Pokemon cards. Collins-Black meticulously chose the locations to hide these treasures after extensive research and reconnaissance.
Inspired by a previous treasure hunt, Collins-Black embarked on his own adventure to create a hunt that would bring people closer to nature and spark their sense of wonder. After acquiring an array of valuable items, including Thoreau’s journal pages and treasures from Forrest Fenn’s trove, he enlisted a blacksmith to create unique puzzle boxes for each treasure.
The hunt, which launched recently, has already captured the imaginations of treasure hunters everywhere and has become a top seller in the Adventure Travel category on Amazon. Collins-Black anticipates that it may take several years for all the treasures to be found and is open to sharing additional clues along the way.
While he monitors the progress of the hunt from his home in the mountains near Los Angeles, Collins-Black keeps the treasure’s location a secret even from his wife and kids, who enjoy their own adventures of digging and collecting coins in the yard. For him, the thrill of hunting for treasure is something that resonates with many people, sparking a sense of curiosity and adventure within us all.
